Differences are minimal: the Firebird is a little less maneuverable than the other two and has lower range but more hull, and the Osprey has more shields and is grossly overpriced. This hodgepodge nature has its downside, though, namely its high crew requirement and the fact that any dedicated ship of the same cost will do better in a specialized role than the Mule will. The Lionheart ship designers combined a good deal of cargo space with a decent amount of weaponry and even a fighter bay, and ended up with a ship that is mostly used as a freighter but must be classified as a warship because of its heavy armament and shields. The difference in weapon capacity (210 Mule, 140 Roost) is matched out through the 3 additional fighters to, which have their own weapon space. Lore-wise, those 3 additional fighter bays (despite being external for the Roost) match the 190 cargo space difference. The Mule is as much of a hodgepodge as its looks suggest. The Mule comes with 270 cargo space, the Roost with 80.
